
WICHITA, Kan. — The Wichita Sports Commission announced Tuesday the 13 semifinalists for the 2025 Buster Posey National Collegiate Catcher of the Year Award, which honors the top Division I catcher in the country.
This year, 92 catchers representing 27 conferences were nominated between Feb. 12 and May 9. From that group, the Buster Posey Award selection committee narrowed the list to 13 semifinalists on May 14. Voting for the three finalists will begin Monday, May 26, and conclude Wednesday, June 4, at 5 p.m. Central time. The vote includes input from Division I coaches, sports information directors, scouts, and members of the award committee.

- Luke Stevenson, North Carolina
- Justin Stransky, Fresno State
- Carson Tinney, Notre Dame
- Wilson Weber, Oregon State
The three finalists selected will be invited to Wichita for the Buster Posey Award Ceremony, which is part of the Greater Wichita Sports Banquet on Thursday, June 26, at INTRUST Bank Arena. Tickets for the banquet went on sale May 16. More information and updates are available at wichitasports.com.
