HUTCHINSON, Kan. — Hutchinson residents are getting ready to celebrate the Independence Day holiday.
Things kick off with the 36th Annual Patriots Parade sponsored by Eagle Communications. The parade begins at 10 a.m. and will run from Main and Avenue B north to 12th. The Grand Marshal for this year’s parade is former Reno County Sheriff Randy Henderson.
All of us at Eagle hope you will be courteous of others and practice social distancing. If possible wear a mask. Please pick up your trash when you leave and sit back and enjoy the day.
The day ends with the annual fireworks display at the fairgrounds. The best place to park is in the north parking lot of the fairgrounds. The fireworks show begins at 9:30 p.m.
The last day to discharge fireworks legally in Reno County is July 4th at 11 p.m.
