Violet Juanita Lemen, 92, died November 21, 2020, at Mennonite Friendship Communities, South Hutchinson. She was born July 20, 1928, in Hutchinson, to Clarence D. and Violet J. (Roberson) Emery.

Juanita graduated from Hutchinson High School in 1946. In addition to being a homemaker, she worked for Meadow Gold Dairy and in the Clerk’s office at Reno County Courthouse. Juanita was an avid reader and loved to care for people. She was a member of the Rebekahs, where she served as Noble Grand, and Hutchinson Friends Church.

On May 1, 1948, Juanita married Howard C. Lemen, in Hutchinson. He died August 12, 2006.

She is survived by sons, Cliff Lemen, Wichita, David Lemen (Lindy), Haven, Greg Lemen (Barbara), Kingman; grandchildren, Denise Blevins, Jacob Lemen (Sherry), Molley Taylor (Jeremy), Melissa Tucker (Luke), David L. Lemen (Naomi), Damon Donaldson; great-grandchildren, Jeff Lemen, Kayce Blevins (Lisa), Jamie Blevins, Brooke and Jillian Taylor, Claire Tucker; five great-great-grandchildren; brother, C.D. Emery (Linda), Derby; daughter-in-law, Bridget Lemen, Viola; brother-in-law, Bill Harrison (Mary), Leon; and many extended family members.

Juanita was preceded in death by her parents; son, Mike Lemen; and sisters, Clarice Harrison and Lottie Grace Harder.

Graveside service will be 1:00 p.m., Monday, November 30, 2020, at Memorial Park Cemetery, 5905 W. 4th Ave., Hutchinson. Friends may call from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday and 1 - 8 p.m. Sunday, at Elliott Mortuary.
