With one race and one team title under its belt, the Hutchinson Community College men's cross country team remained No. 4 in the first regular-season USTFCCCA/NJCAA Division I national rankings of the season.

The Blue Dragons are one of three Jayhawk Conference teams in the Top 10 of the latest poll released on Wednesday. Butler is No. 7 and Garden City is No. 10. Colby is the fourth KJCCC team in the rankings at No. 16.

Hutchinson runs in its first 8K race of the season on Saturday, competing in the Missouri Southern Stampede in Joplin, Missouri.

The Blue Dragons last ran on August 30 when they dominated the Terry Masterson Twilight Classic. Blue Dragon runners finished in the top four spots led by sophomore Cornelius Kogo.

Last season the Blue Dragons won both the Region 6 and Jayhawk West championships and finished third in the NJCAA Division I National Championships.
