Lloyd Leeman Fundenberger, 84, of Lyons, passed away September 19, 2021 at Hospital District #1 of Rice County, Lyons. He was born November 17, 1936, in Lyons, the son of Leeman Ray “L.R.” and Amanda Josephine Barks Fundenberger. Lloyd was a lifelong Lyons resident. He was owner and operator of Fundenberger Construction and Concrete for 60 plus years. Lloyd was a member of the NRA, Rice County Sportsman Club, Liar’s Fishing Club, and the Kansas Bowhunters Association. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, rebuilding antique cars, and most of all giving candy to all of his grandchildren. On April 23, 1955, Lloyd was united in marriage with Delores Faye Zent in WaKeeney. She survives of the home. He is also survived by his four sons, Vernon Fundenberger and wife Kathy of Sturgis, SD, Steve Fundenberger and wife Francine of Lyons, Eldon Fundenberger and wife Pam of Lyons, and Darren Fundenberger and wife Tammy of Lyons; brother, George C. Fundenberger and wife Ann of Lyons; eight grandchildren; eighteen great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandson. Lloyd is preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Floyd and Keith Fundenberger; and sister Viola Hazel Perkins. Graveside service will be at 2:00 P.M., Wednesday, September 22, 2021, at the Lyons Municipal Cemetery, Lyons with Pastor Rob Bolton officiating. Visitation will be from 2:00 until 7:00 P.M., Tuesday, September 21, 2021, at Birzer Funeral Home, Lyons.
