Correction: An initial version of this story called the trophies on display at the Fair the Lamar Hunt trophy. The Lamar Hunt Trophy is the AFC Championship Trophy. Those displayed at the fair were the Lombardi Trophy, the trophy won for winning the Super Bowl. Hutch Post regrets the error.

HUTCHINSON, Kan. — For the second consecutive year, the Chiefs Trophy was on display at the Kansas State Fair. This year, instead of just one trophy on display, there were two, both Super Bowl LVII and LVIII trophies won by the Kansas City Chiefs.
"This was really cool to see in person," Tracy Conley from Bucklin said. "I honestly didn't know it was going to be here, but I heard people talking about it earlier and knew that I had to go see it. My husband is a Broncos fan, so I made sure to send him a picture of the trophies."
The trophies were on display at the House of Capper from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. and a pep rally was held at Peoples Bank and Trust Arena, as well. These events were all apart of Red Friday festivities at the fair.
"I have been here at the fair for both last year and this year to see the trophies," Cooper Grimes from Little River said. "I've never been to a game in Kansas City, but getting to see the trophies that Mahomes and the Chiefs held up after winning the Super Bowl is awesome."
