Barton track and field's Robinson earns week one conference honor

Nia Robinson of the Barton Community College women's track and field team has been named the Kansas Jayhawk Community College Conference (KJCCC) Field Athlete of the Week.

The freshman had an impressive collegiate debut a week ago at the Coffeyville Winter Invite, winning both her events with early season national leading marks, taking the long jump at 5.46m (17-11) and the triple jump at 11.66m (38-03.25).

The Cougars' next action will be on Saturday in Lubbock, Texas, competing in the Red Raider Invitational at the Sports Performance Center on the campus of Texas Tech University. Coverage links of the event can be found at BartonSports.com, including broadcast on ESPN+ beginning at 11:00 a.m.
