HUTCHINSON — The historic Fox Theater is gearing up for a blockbuster 2025-2026 season, packed with an eclectic mix of music, acrobatics, comedy, and even an ice-skating spectacular — all designed to draw crowds from across the region.

Josh Davies, executive director of the Fox Theater, says the new season kicks off October 19 with a performance by Home Free, the popular country a cappella group. Davies says landing Home Free has been a goal for years. “The stars finally aligned,” he said. “I’ve been trying to book them for six years. They usually go to Salina, but we were able to bring them here this time.”

Following Home Free, the Fox will welcome Cirque Mechanics on November 5 with an all-new show called Tilt — an imaginative circus and mechanical marvel that transforms the stage into an amusement park with acrobatics and storytelling reminiscent of Cirque du Soleil.

Later in November, the stage will swing back in time to the roaring 1920s with the Squirrel Nut Zippers on November 21. The beloved jazz band will bring “Jazz from the Back O’ Town,” a show celebrating the lively New Orleans jazz scene, including classics from Jelly Roll Morton and Louis Armstrong alongside the band’s own hits.

The new year kicks off January 23 with The Brothers Doobie, a tribute act celebrating the Doobie Brothers’ greatest hits, from Listen to the Music to China Grove. “They have incredible harmonies and infectious energy,” said Davies.

In February, fans of classic pop can celebrate Neil Diamond’s timeless catalog when Celebrate the Music of Neil Diamond hits the stage February 20. Backed by The Killer Vees — the sons of rock legend Bobby Vee — this show promises to deliver favorite sing-alongs and some surprises, including I’m a Believer, which Diamond wrote for The Monkees.

Families will want to mark their calendars for March 7 when The Wizard of Oz on Ice glides into town. This unique twist on the beloved story features champion skaters performing dazzling routines to music produced by Disney composers — a first-of-its-kind ice show for the Fox.

Comedy fans get their turn on March 14 when stand-up veteran Tom Papa brings his Grateful Bread Tour to the Fox. Papa, who’s had several Netflix specials and hosts the podcast Breaking Bread, promises a night of big laughs.

The subscription season wraps up in disco style on May 7 with Stayin’ Alive: One Night of the Bee Gees, delivering the sights and sounds of the Bee Gees’ legendary hits, from Night Fever and Jive Talkin’ to How Deep Is Your Love.

In addition to the subscription series, country music legend John Anderson will perform an acoustic evening at the Fox on August 14, and contemporary Christian artist Michael W. Smith takes the stage in October.

Season ticket renewals open Monday, July 7 at 9 a.m. at the Fox Theater box office and online. Season ticket holders can lock in their seats and save 20% over individual ticket prices, with new patrons also welcome to join. Single-show tickets will go on sale August 25.

“We have an incredible base of loyal season ticket holders, and every year new people join the Fox family,” said Davies. “There’s truly something for everyone this season.”
