
The Hutchinson City Council will meet this afternoon, with a full agenda that includes action on more than $13 million in bonds and temporary notes, a proposed housing incentive district, and a land annexation request.
On the consent agenda, council members will consider approving the minutes from the Nov. 4 meeting, a $2.3 million appropriation ordinance, October financials, and a resolution proposing the establishment of a Reinvestment Housing Incentive District at 36th & Monroe.
The council will then take up several financial ordinances and resolutions, including:
- A $1.92 million General Obligation Improvement Bond (Series 2025-C)
- A resolution prescribing the form and delivery of General Obligation Bonds 2025-C
- An $11.435 million issuance of General Obligation Temporary Notes (Series 2025-D)
New business includes considering a $330,503.50 bid from APAC-Kansas for the Spyglass Hills watermain project and an ordinance annexing property to the east of the current PrairieLand Partners property near the U.S. 50/61 interchange.
Council will also review future agenda items, including a discussion on inoperable vehicles, and may recess into executive session to discuss confidential financial information related to a private business.
The meeting opens with a proclamation for Community Foundation Week. Public comments are welcome on non-agenda items during the designated portion of the meeting.
The meeting begins at 4 p.m. in the council chambers of city hall.
