Susan Lee (Klingler) Jones entered eternal life on November 21, 2021 after a long battle with dementia. She was 70 years old. She was born January 8, 1951 to Theodore and Virginia Klingler in Leavenworth, KS. She was preceded in death by her parents.
Susie was avid church goer for almost all of her life. And if the church had a choir – she was in it. She also was very involved in women’s ministries, particularly ABW (American Baptist Women). However, her greatest delight was being a pastor’s wife and supporting her husband of 50 years, Ron, in his ministry. Together they served in 4 churches and 1 Baptist affiliated conference center. Susie was also very involved in the school systems where she lived. For many years she worked for USD #453 in Leavenworth as a secretary for the administration building and was a paraprofessional while living in Augusta, KS.
Susie was lucky enough to marry her high-school sweetheart Ron on May 28, 1971, he survives. She is also survived by two daughters, Sarah (Kris) Jolley and Lisa Jones; and three grandchildren, Everett, Greta and Leif. Survivors also include one sister, Betty (Rick) Stutzman and two brothers David (Pam) Klingler and Charles (Judy) Klingler.
Anyone who knew Susie knew how much she loved chocolate, shopping and especially her grandchildren. Her devotion to her faith and her family are her lasting legacy.
