The Hutchinson Public Schools summer meals program will return June 1, offering free lunches to children and teens age 18 and younger at multiple locations across Hutchinson through July 24.
Meals will be served Monday through Friday, with no application or proof of income required. Children must either be present at meal pickup or show a Summer Meal Pass. Officials note families are limited to one meal site visit per day.
At HMS 7 Middle School, located at 210 East Avenue A, meals will be served from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. The school will rotate between “Blue Week” and “Gold Week” menus throughout the summer.

The weekly menu at the library and splash park includes peanut butter and jelly meals on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays, turkey sandwiches on Tuesdays, and ham and cheese sandwiches on Thursdays, along with fruits, vegetables, snacks and milk.
District officials say breakfast for the following day will also be provided with lunch at HMS 7. There will be no meal service on July 3.
Families can obtain meal passes by visiting HMS 7 during meal service hours with children present. Once issued, the pass may be used at any meal site without children needing to be present for pickup.
The district noted the summer meals program is an equal opportunity provider and meal offerings are subject to change.
