Kansas man jailed for alleged DUI after rear-end crash

MONTGOMERY COUNTY—Law enforcement authorities are investigating a accident that landed a driver in jail.

Just after 10a.m. Friday sheriff's deputies responded to U.S. 169 and U.S. 160 Junction for a report of a two-vehicle motor vehicle accident, according Sheriff Ron Wade.

 Jeffery Dean Davison Jr, 33, Ottawa  lost control of a Chevy Cruze while driving onto the on ramp of U.S. 160.

The Chevy rear-ended a 2015 Dodge Durango driven by Mandy Ann Smith, 45,  Cherryvale,  while she was stopped at the stop sign.

After further investigation, it was determined Davison was driving under the influence of alcohol.

Deputies transported Davison to the Montgomery County Department of Corrections and booked into jail on requested charges of; Felony DUI, Criminal use of weapon; Device attachment used to silence firearm and Operating a car without a required ignition interlock devise, according to Sheriff Wade.
