KDOT approves July bids, including four area projects

TOPEKA — The Kansas Department of Transportation announced Thursday that it approved bids for state highway construction and maintenance projects. The letting took place July 20, 2022, in Topeka. Some of the bids may include multiple projects that have been bundled based on proximity and type of work.

Area projects are as follows:

McPherson ‑ 56‑59 KA‑6574‑01 ‑ U.S. 56, from the McPherson/Rice county line east to the K‑153/U.S. 56 junction, milling and overlay, 13.2 miles, Pearson Construction LLC, Wichita, Kansas, $4,783,226.63.

Pratt ‑ 61‑76 KA‑6581‑01 ‑ K‑61, beginning 0.7 mile north of Maple Street in Pratt north to the Pratt/Reno county line, milling and overlay, 16.9 miles, APAC-Kansas Inc. Shears Division, Hutchinson, Kansas, $5,165,030.75.

Reno ‑ 50‑78 KA‑6580‑01 ‑ U.S. 50, beginning at the west K‑61/U.S. 50 junction (2-lane/4-lane divide) east 4.7 miles to the Portland cement concrete pavement, milling and overlay, 4.7 miles, Pearson Construction LLC, Wichita, Kansas, $4,619,139.70.

Reno ‑ 61‑78 KA‑6582‑01 ‑ K‑61, beginning at the Pratt/Reno county line north to the south wearing surface edge of the North Fork Ninnescah River Bridge #148, milling and overlay, 17.9 miles, APAC-Kansas Inc. Shears Division, Hutchinson, Kansas, $5,214,591.95.
