HUTCHINSON, Kan. — Reno County and Hutchinson Regional Healthcare System are among 69 Kansas organizations selected for the Kansas Leadership Center's 2027 Common Good Partnerships program.

The initiative provides grant-funded leadership training, resources and consultation to help organizations strengthen leadership skills and address challenges within their communities.

The program, formerly known as Leadership Transformation Grants, offers participating organizations one year of access to leadership development opportunities.

Each organization will establish a core team of three to five individuals to oversee its participation and help implement leadership strategies.

"Every organization selected brings its own challenges, opportunities and people who care deeply about improving their communities," said Camille Scott, partner manager at the Kansas Leadership Center. "That's what makes these partnerships exciting."

Scott said the program helps organizations develop leadership cultures that embrace change, tackle problems and identify opportunities for improvement.

Reno County was selected in the government sector, while Hutchinson Regional Healthcare System was selected in the nonprofit sector.

Several other organizations across central Kansas were also selected, including Butler Community College in the education sector and McPherson County Community Foundation in the nonprofit sector.

Other regional recipients include Kansas State University Extension, Goodwill Industries of Kansas and the University of Kansas Health System in Great Bend.

The Kansas Leadership Center also awarded smaller allocations to 14 organizations through its mini-grant program, including the Greater Salina Community Foundation and Kansas Oil Museum.

Over the past 12 years, the Kansas Leadership Center has trained 16,596 people, awarded 852 grants and partnered with 447 organizations and communities across Kansas.

The Common Good Partnerships program is open to civically engaged organizations in the education, faith, government and nonprofit sectors.

Applications are accepted each fall.
