Hutchinson Middle School fundraiser now online

HUTCHINSON, Kan. — The major fundraising campaign for Hutchinson Middle School – 7 and Hutchinson Middle School – 8 looks significantly different in 2021.

For the past several years prior to 2020 when fundraisers were suspended by COVID-19, students fanned out over the community selling discount cards that offered holders discounts or BOGO opportunities at local businesses. In 2021, all students at the two schools have a code that family and friends can enter into a website to simply donate. Each student has a personalized donation page.

For safety, students are prohibited from going door-to-door to make donation requests this year. Donors can pay online or give check donations (made out to “HMS”). Students who earn at least $25 in donations will earn prizes. Prizes are accumulative so the more a student raises, the more the youth receives in prizes. The fundraiser ends April 19.

If you know an HMS student, go to https://hutchms2021.pledge-drive.net/Campaign/Details/1933 and enter the student’s code number. The goal of the fundraiser is $25,000. Money will be used for teacher grants, student rewards and year-end events at both middle schools.
