RICE COUNTY—One person was injured in an accident just before 3p.m. Tuesday in Rice County.
The Kansas High Patrol reported a 2007 Kawasaki driven by Jarrhett Thaddeus Eugene Moore, 42, Sterling, was southbound on Kansas 14 just north of 16th Avenue. The Kawasaki was approaching another southbound vehicle that was making a left turn. Moore did not see the other vehicle. He swerved the motorcycle and this caused the bike to lay on it side and come to rest on the shoulder.
EMS transported Moore to Hutchinson Regional Medical Center. He was wearing a helmet at the time of the accident, according to the KHP.
