
HUTCHINSON, Kan. — Elaine Cloyd of Hutchinson was awarded Crime Stoppers USA’s Lifetime Achievement Award last month for her work with local, national, and international Crime Stoppers organizations over the past 40 years. Elaine received this award for her passion and dedication to Crime Stoppers during the Crime Stoppers USA Annual Training Conference in Orlando, FL.
Elaine loves the mission of Crime Stoppers and has actively been a Crime Stoppers Ambassador by serving on the Crime Stoppers International and CSUSA Boards in many important capacities since the 1990’s. Elaine was an incorporating board member of CSUSA in 2004 and has worked tirelessly for CSUSA ever since. She has also been actively involved in her home program, Reno County Crime Stoppers since 1987 and is the current chair of that program. Elaine was the Host Program Chair of the Kansas State Crime Stopper’s annual conference in October 2022. Interestingly, she was even married at the Crime Stoppers USA annual conference luau in Honolulu, Hawaii in 2017.

She is an excellent communicator and because of her lengthy experience surrounding all things Crime Stoppers, she has been an important teacher and mentor to many. The Crime Stoppers USA Lifetime Achievement Award is an ultimate compliment to someone who has gone above and beyond. Elaine has been instrumental in making a difference both in her local community and with CSUSA” said Chris Cameron, Chair of Crime Stoppers USA.
