The Hutchinson Fire Department responded to a garage fire Sunday afternoon in the 700 block of Avenue C.
According to Battalion Chief Justin Holzrichter, crews were dispatched at 3:40 p.m. and arrived to find heavy smoke coming from a residential garage. Firefighters made an aggressive interior attack and located active fire after opening the walk-through door.
Crews worked quickly to bring the blaze under control and remained on scene afterward to investigate and clean up equipment. No injuries were reported.
The Hutchinson Fire Department expressed its appreciation for the assistance of Reno County EMS, the Hutchinson Police Department, and the City of Hutchinson’s Public Works Department.
