ingman Begins Major Stormwater Culvert Replacement Project
KINGMAN, Kan. — The City of Kingman has begun a major infrastructure project to replace an aging underground stormwater culvert running through the central part of the city.

According to city officials, the B Avenue Culvert Project will replace the existing stormwater system that begins along Avenue A near the courthouse, runs north along Spruce Street to Avenue B, and then continues west along Avenue B to Broadway.
The project is designed to improve stormwater drainage and replace aging infrastructure beneath the roadway.
City leaders say the construction will require periodic street closures along the project route while work is underway. Drivers and residents in the area should expect temporary traffic disruptions as crews replace sections of the underground culvert.
Construction is expected to continue through July, although officials note that the timeline could be extended if weather conditions delay work.
The city encourages residents to plan for possible detours and remain aware of construction activity in the affected areas during the duration of the project.
