🏀 WBB: Duncan powers No. 20 Dragons with career highs

ARKANSAS CITY, Kan. — Katie Duncan scored a career-high 28 points and hit a career-high six three-pointers as No. 20 Hutchinson (19-5, 14-4) cruised to a road victory at Cowley (10-13, 6-11).

Hutchinson held Cowley to 0-of-11 shooting in the second quarter to build a 40-19 halftime lead.

Duncan had three of Hutchinson's seven made triples at the break.

The Dragons finished with a season-high 13-made threes on 43.3% shooting from deep. Duncan hit 6-of-13 attempts.

The Dragons also turned the ball over a season-low eight times.

Kaia Smith quietly posted her second double-double of the year with 14 points and 11 rebounds off the bench.

Delora Pricop was the only other Dragon in double figures as she provided 10 points off the bench.

The Dragons held Mallory Jackson to 2-of-15 shooting. She started the game 0-for-11.

Yatzel Renteria started for the first time this year and scored 17 points for the Tigers.
