* WHAT ...Widespread light to moderate snow, with heavy snow at times. Total snow accumulations between 4 and 8 inches, highest over southeast Kansas, where locally higher amounts greater than 8 inches are possible. Northeast winds will gust as high as 35 mph at times.
* WHERE...Portions of Central, South Central, and Southeast Kansas.
* WHEN...From midnight tonight to 6 AM CST Wednesday.
* IMPACTS...Travel could be very difficult. The hazardous conditions could impact the Tuesday morning and evening commutes.

In addition, the National Weather Service has issued an Extreme Cold Warning from 6 PM Tuesday to Noon Thursday.
* WHAT...Dangerously cold wind chills as low as 25 below zero expected at times.
* WHERE...Portions of South Central and Southeast Kansas.
* WHEN...From 6 PM Tuesday to noon CST Thursday.
* IMPACTS...The dangerous cold could cause frostbite on exposed skin in as little as 30 minutes.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...Dress in layers including a hat, face mask, and gloves if you must go outside.
