Delsie Clara Krenke, 85, of Haven, Kansas, passed away Thursday, July 2, 2020 at her home. She was born September 9, 1934, in Pratt, Kansas, the daughter of Julius W. and Anna (Thonhoff) Hoeme.
After she graduated high school, Delsie attended nursing school in Vicksburg, Mississippi. She worked in various health settings before retiring in October of 1996, after 44 years of caring and dedication to others.
Delsie was a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Haven.
She was united in marriage to Arnold “Arnie” E. Krenke on August 3, 1958 in Natrona, Kansas. He preceded her in death on February 21, 2009.
Delsie is survived by her son, Greg (Laurie) Krenke of Olathe; daughters, Lisa Rinehart and Nancy Krenke, both of Haven; sister, Audrey Jenisch; six grandchildren, Stacy Krenke Wurtz (Toby), Katie Krenke Thompson (Jesse), Megan Rinehart Nech (Corey), Forrest Krenke (Caitlyn), Gabrielle Rinehart, and Rachael Rinehart Campbell (Greg); and six great-grandchildren, Wesley, Kolby, Averie, Brody, Hadley and Paislee.
She was also preceded in death by her parents; and eight siblings, Dorothy Letholt, Lola Daniels, Shirley Ann Hoeme, Julius Hoeme, Ewald Hoeme, Dwayne Hoeme, Forrest Dean Hoeme and Gordon Hoeme.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m., Monday, July 6, 2020 at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, Haven, Kansas. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Family will greet friends from 3 to 5 p.m., Sunday, July 5, 2020 at Ott Funeral Home.
