GREAT BEND, Kan. — No. 1 Hutchinson (6-0) finished non-conference play with an 81-59 victory over Redlands (3-2) Saturday afternoon to finish the Barton Best Western/Cougar Booster Club Basketball Classic.
Hailey Jackson notched her fifth-career double-double (third this season) with 19 points and 10 rebounds.
In her first start as a Dragon, Brynne Katcher registered a double-double (second as a Dragon, 15th in her collegiate career) with 14 points and 11 rebounds.
Dylan Alexander provided 12 points off the bench while Jada Pleasant and Jaden Wilson added 10 each.
Hutchinson outscored the Cougars 17-5 in the first quarter before building a 32-15 halftime lead.
The Cougars were led in scoring by Ellie Willard's 15 on 4-of-7 shooting.

The Dragons shot 40% from the field, but just 2-of-18 (11.1%) from beyond the arc.
Redlands also struggled from deep, hitting just 3-of-21 attempts (14.3%).
Going back to last year's undefeated national championship run, the Dragons have won 43 straight.
The Dragons return to Great Bend Nov. 20 to open conference play with the Barton Cougars (4-2).
