Jerry L. Becker, 82, of Moundridge, Kansas, passed away Sunday, January 17, 2021, at Mercy Hospital. He was born September 26, 1938, in Newton, Kansas, the son of Albert and Ella (Wedel) Becker.
He graduated from Moundridge High School with the class of 1956.
Jerry was a member of West Zion Mennonite Church in Moundridge, where he served as trustee, deacon and an usher.
He worked as an auto mechanic from 1958 until 1985, at Midway Chevrolet dealership in Moundridge. In 1985, Jerry started working for Bradbury Company in Moundridge as an assembler. He retired in 2004.
Jerry was united in marriage to Wynona L. Janzen on August 1, 1958 in Buhler, Kansas. She survives of the home.
Other survivors include his son, Craig (Louise Ober) Becker, San Mateo, California; daughter, Jeanne (Mark) Vrbas of Atwood; four grandchildren, Heidi (Josh) Garrison of Olpe, Anthony Vrbas of Atwood, Madeleine Ober Becker of Washington, D.C., and Cole Ober Becker of Princeton, New Jersey; great-grandson, Justin Garrison of Olpe; and two sisters, Marlene (John) Unruh of Warden, Washington, and Karen (Butch) Goering of Lynden, Washington.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Private graveside services will be held at West Zion Cemetery, Moundridge. If attending, please social distance and wear a face mask. Friends may call from 3 to 6 p.m., Tuesday, January 19, 2021 at Moundridge Funeral Home. The family will not be present.
