Mail in ballot applications close Tuesday, nearly 9000 requests fulfilled

HUTCHINSON, Kan. — Reno County Deputy Elections Officer Jenna Fager says with Tuesday as the last day to request a mail-in advance ballot, they have fulfilled 8,918 requests and 5,729 of those have already been returned.

One hundred ninety-six people cast ballots in person in advance on Saturday and 3,763 have voted in advance in person as of the end of the weekend.

In person advance voting continues at the Reno County Annex from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., with late voting until 7 p.m. on October 27th and 29th.

Secure ballot drop boxes are available in the front of the Reno County Annex, as well as inside the Buhler city office and the Nickerson city office. Advance ballots returned in those boxes must be there by 7 p.m. on election night.
