KS4Vets is calling on the community to help stock shelves and support local families in need through its annual holiday donation drive, running December 1–12. The effort collects non-perishable food and essential household items to benefit the Salvation Army and area families who rely on its services.
Organizers say the seasonal campaign is an opportunity for residents to “share the hope” by encouraging friends, coworkers, and family members to donate. Every contribution, they note, helps brighten the holidays for neighbors experiencing hardship.
The 12 Days of Hope drive is seeking a variety of food and household staples, including:
- Stuffing, green beans, brownie mix, French-fried onions, corn, cream of mushroom soup, marshmallows, and instant potatoes
- Paper products such as toilet paper, paper towels, and tissues
- Cleaning supplies, including disinfectant wipes, sprays, dish soap, and laundry soap
- Personal-care items like bar soap, shampoo, toothpaste, and deodorant
- Monetary donations for bread, eggs, and meat
Donations may be dropped off at participating KS4Vets collection sites between December 1 and December 12. The flyer emphasizes that even small contributions make a significant impact during the holiday season.
Drop-Off Locations are:
- Gentiva Hospice: 120 N. Main St.
- Traditions Health: 915 E. 30th Ave.
Organizers say the community’s generosity each December helps ensure struggling families have access to the essentials they need during one of the most challenging times of the year.
