
JoAnne Smith, 92, of Hutchinson, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, October 7, 2020. She was born April 25, 1928, in Augusta, to Bertram and Flora (Fitzwilliam) St. Clair.
JoAnne married the love of her life, Albert ‘Al’, on November 16, 1948, in Hutchinson. They remained in Hutchinson and raised their family. JoAnne’s lifelong love of God and family was a wonderful testament for her children. She was blessed and proud of her seven children, eighteen grandchildren, and twenty great-grandchildren, all of whom are a true legacy to a life of love and devotion to her family.
JoAnne is survived by her sons, Galen (Diane) Smith of Corpus Christi, TX, Galord Smith of St. Charles, MO, Mark (Debbie) Smith of Pretty Prairie, and Lance (Angie) Smith of Hutchinson; daughters, Joleen Smith of Hutchinson, and Doreen (Jay) Hawkins of Buhler; daughter-in-law, Shelley (Mark) Stephens of Hutchinson; grandchildren, Roman Smith, Angela Lawless, Brad Smith, Taron Smith, Christopher Nolde, Andrea Smyth, Tristan Smith, Kelsey Schneider, Brecken Rumsey, Corey Smith, Kaydee Robinson, Kristin Hoffman, Heather Smith, Haley Crump, Brittany Aden, Dallas Smith, Chloe Hawkins, and Nickolas Smith; and great-grandchildren, Emma, Riley, Chloe, Mason, Karlea, Braden, Lillian, Michael, Jersey, Kaiden, Shawn, Braydee, Eva, Quinn, Chase, Blaze, Noah, Violet, Fiona, and Julian.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Albert ‘Al’ Smith; son, Bruce Smith; daughter-in-law, Shirley Smith; brothers, Matthew, Bertram, Keith, Gary, Denny, and Ronnie; and sisters, Phyllis, Donna, and Alice.
Celebration of Life service will be 10 a.m. Monday, October 12, 2020, at Elliott Mortuary, with Pastor Matt Stafford officiating. Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery, Hutchinson.
