Max Eugene Kabler |1928-2021|

Max Eugene Kabler age 92 passed away on Saturday, July 31, 2021.  He was born in Wichita, Kansas to Roy Ivan Kabler and Cora Letta (Wright) Kabler on October 26, 1928.  He was a life long resident of Wichita, Kansas.  He enlisted in the U.S. Navy on April 20, 1946 and served his country for two years on the USS General William Mitchell in the Pacific theater.  In 1949 he married Ruth Griffith and they celebrated 71 years of marriage.  He worked for Santa Fe Railroad as a Switchman, Brakeman, and Conductor until retirement in 1987.  He attended Church and was active at Prairie Homestead Chapel in his later years.  He enjoyed boating, camping and trout fishing with friends and family.  He could frequently be found in his garage creating, modifying and reinventing all sorts of projects.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his six siblings and one child, Alan Dean.  Max is survived by his spouse, his two children, Eugenia Spady, Hays, Kansas and Marcus (Becky) Kabler, Wichita, Kansas and six grandchildren and ten great grandchildren.
