Anthony (Andy) Ray Peek  |1963-2022|

Anthony (Andy) Ray Peek, 58 of Medicine Lodge, died Thursday, May 12, 2022, result of a vehicle accident.

Andy was born August 29, 1963 in Lamar, CO, the son of Beverly (Merrill) Strickland of McAllen, TX and the late Robert R. Peek.

Andy began his work career at a very early age. He worked as electrician helper, welder assistant, farm & ranch hand, inventory control for his brother-in-law's business, over the road truck driver before moving to Medicine Lodge.
Andy worked for Red Rock Protection Services for several years before joining Concrete Enterprises.
He served his time in the military as a Drill Sergeant, training, Oklahoma and Texas National Guard.
He loved to read and educated himself in European history. His love of weapons came from his time in the military.
Andy was a member of St Mark's Episcopal Church in Medicine Lodge.

Andy is survived by his mother Beverly Strickland of McAllen, TX, his life-long sister, Tracey (Karl) Kimsey of Canyon, TX. In recent years he found a half sister, Manda Barber Packard of Manzanola, CO, his only nephew, Braden (Karley) Kimsey of Peyton, CO. Others mourning the loss are Ruth Garcia and children, Sharon Merrill, Rochelle Thorne, Angie and Dawn Strickland and many many other friends over the years.

Cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, May 18, 2022 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Mark’s Episcopal Church, Medicine Lodge, KS with Pastor Karl Kimsey officiating.
