Update: Winter Weather Advisory for Saturday

Posted Jan 15, 2022 6:30 PM

A Winter Weather Advisory remains in effect until 6 p.m. Saturday.

Snow will affect the area from around sunrise until early this evening.

Snow is expected. Total snow accumulations of 1 to 2 inches are likely with locally higher amounts up to 4 inches possible. Winds could gust as high as 45 mph.

Plan on slippery road conditions. Patchy blowing snow could significantly reduce visibility. Gusty winds could bring down small tree branches. Wind chills in the single digits are likely today. Travel could become hazardous in areas of blowing snow.

According to Stanley Murdock with the Christian Soup Ministry, the soup kitchen is closed Saturday, but home meals will still be delivered.
