Case count at 1376, with 1201 in community as of Friday evening

HUTCHINSON, Kan. — The Reno County overall case count is at 1376 as of Friday evening. The death count among Reno County residents is at 48.

The Correctional Facility cluster type has 192 active cases measured by the county's COVID-19 dashboard. The Long Term Care Facility cluster type has 87 active cases, but has been responsible for 16 deaths. There are 44 active clusters in the county.

Out of 4,656 total cases since the beginning of the pandemic, there are 1,201 cases in the community at large. 3,232 people have recovered thus far.

Forty-two people are in the hospital. Two hundred total have been hospitalized. Seventy have been admitted to the ICU and 24 have been intubated. These are Reno County resident numbers regardless of where they are hospitalized.

The community's positive test rate is at 21.62%, with the overall positive test rate at 27.90%. 26.55% of the population has been tested.
