Karen Diane Fay, 82, of Inman, passed away at 10:00 am, Wednesday, August 17th, 2022 at Pleasant View Home, Inman.

Karen was born in Salina, on September 17, 1939, a daughter of Evelyn (Hepner) Wamser and David Porter.

Karen attended rural country grade school, Riley, and graduated Salina Central High School, Salina, in 1957.

She was a lifelong member of Galva United Methodist Church serving on numerous committees and was involved in all aspect of church life.

Through the years Karen worked as a school cook for Galva grade school, framer at the art gallery, McPherson, and was an owner operator over the road truck driver for many years..

Karen enjoyed doing art work, reading mystery books, bible studies, dancing and spending time with her friends and family.

Karen Porter was united in marriage to Terry Lane Fay on Feb. 7, 1958 in Salina. This union established their first home together in Salina, Kansas. This union was blessed with the birth of three children, two sons and a daughter, Timothy, Teia and Daniel.

She is survived by her husband Terry Fay, of Inman; her children, Timothy Fay and his wife Cindy, of Inman, Teia Janzen and her husband James, of Galva, and Daniel Fay and his wife Janet, of Inman; her siblings, Don Porter, of Gallatin, Missouri, Judy Hall and her husband Darrel, of Ocala, Florida, Rick Lyttel and his wife Jo Beth, of Las Vegas, Nevada, Judy Huff and her husband Lonnie, of Grove, Oklahoma and Debbie Creamer and her husband Lee, of Solon, Iowa.

She is also survived by 12 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren.

Karen was preceded in death by her parents and her brother James Dean Porter.

Memorial Service will be held on Wednesday, August 24, 2022 at 10:30 a.m. at Glidden - Ediger Chapel in McPherson, Kansas with Reverend Mike Miller officiating.  

A luncheon will be served at Galva Senior Center following the service.
