Everett E. Eslinger, 93, longtime Canton resident, died June 28, 2020 in McPherson, Kansas. He was born August 1, 1926 in rural Lincoln, Kansas, the son of Andy and Mable (Titsworth) Eslinger. He was a retired employee of NCRA/CHS Refinery, McPherson and was a WW II Veteran of the U.S. Army.

He attended the Grace Bible Church, McPherson and the Canton Senior Center and was a member of Friends of Maxwell, Canton.

In 1958 he married Helen Oneida Hobb and she preceded him in death on September 27, 1978. He later married Josephine Frantz Holdeman in 1993 and she survives.

Other survivors include stepdaughters, Glenna Coleman, Independence, Missouri and Susan (John) Gordon, Nebraska City, Nebraska; son-in-law, Chris Jungman; two step-grandchildren; two step-great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews and special friends, Mary Jane Lauer and Bernhard and Carolyn Rundstrom. His daughter, Winona Jane Jungman, four brothers and two sisters preceded him in death.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, July 2, 2020 at Olson’s Mortuary, Canton. Interment will be in the Canton Township Cemetery. Friends may call from 10:00 a.m. until service time Thursday at the mortuary.

Memorials have been established with Friends of Maxwell or the Canton Senior Center, in care of the mortuary.
