KANSAS CITY, Mo.—In conjunction with Major League Baseball, the Royals today announced their 30-game exhibition schedule for 2027. Game times will be announced at a later date.
The Royals will begin their 25th season in the Cactus League on Friday, Feb. 19 as the home team vs. the Rangers at Surprise Stadium. Kansas City’s spring schedule features 15 home games, plus 2 games as the visiting team vs. the Rangers on March 8 and March 18.
The Royals will play 30 games in 30 days next spring, including a pair of split-squad games on Feb. 24 vs. the Cubs and at the Padres, and on March 17 vs. the Mariners and at the Guardians. The Royals are scheduled for two off days during Cactus League play, on March 2 and March 15.
The Royals will face every other Cactus League team at least twice, including 1 home game and 1 road game. They’ll play 3 games vs. the Rangers and Giants.
The Royals final Cactus League game is scheduled for Saturday, March 20 at the Athletics. After four off days, the Royals will host their regular season opener at Kauffman Stadium vs. the Twins on Thursday, March 25, which will mark the earliest Opening Day in franchise history.
