Joyce Anne Preston, 92, of Marquette, died Saturday, December 19, 2020 at Riverview Estates, Marquette. She was a retired caregiver for the elderly.
She was born September 24, 1928 in Miami, Texas, the daughter of John Oliver “Ollie” and Mary Louise (Wining) Gee. She married Robert J. Clouatre and they were the parents of four children, Roberta, James, Anthony and Joseph. They later divorced. Joyce's life was dedicated to her children and taking care of the elderly in their own homes. She was an avid writer and had some of her works published. Joyce was a quiet woman with a loving heart. She will be missed greatly by her family and dear friends.
Survivors include her daughter, Roberta Wann and husband, Jim of McPherson; three sons, James Clouatre and Anthony Clouatre, Marquette and Joseph Clouatre of McPherson; nine grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren. A grandson, Chris Wann, two brothers, Kenneth and William Gee and two sisters, Bena Janke and Lois Haas, preceded her in death.
A private family graveside service will be held at the Canton Township Cemetery. A memorial has been established with Riverview Estates, Marquette, in care of Olson’s Mortuary, Canton.
