
Jose Felipe Reyes, Jr., 29, died April 28, 2021, in Hutchinson. He was born October 29, 1991, in Wichita, to Jose F. Reyes and Denise Rebecca (Sanchez) Serrano.
Jose graduated from Hutchinson High School in 2009, and attended Hutchinson Community College. He loved working in the medical field, with his most recent job as a pharmaceutical supervisor. Jose enjoyed helping people, meeting new friends and acquaintances, and eating out at various restaurants. He also enjoyed watching football and basketball, and spending time with his son and family. Jose was a member of Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church, South Hutchinson.
Jose is survived by: his son, O’Ryan Reyes; mother, Denise Serrano, both of Hutchinson; stepfather, Arnoldo Serrano of Mexico; siblings, Juan Acosta (Meshka Becker) of Hutchinson, Alejandra Reyes (fiancé, Armando Maestas), Humberto Serrano, all of Wichita, Jaime Serrano, and Aliyah Serrano, both of Hutchinson; nieces and nephews, Lailoni, Damien, Isabella, Juliana, Bella, Armando Jr., and Ariana; and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents.
Parish Rosary will be 10:00 a.m. Monday, May 10, 2021, with Mass of Christian Burial to follow at 11:00 a.m., both at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church, 612 S. Maple, South Hutchinson, officiated by Father Charles Seiwert. Burial will follow in Fairlawn Burial Park, Hutchinson. Friends may call from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Saturday and 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. Sunday at Elliott Mortuary. The family will greet friends from 3:30 to 5:00 p.m. Saturday at Elliott Mortuary.
