
Arlys Anita Kraus, 79, of Hutchinson, died Dec. 23, 2020, at Hospice House. She was born March 17, 1941, in Protection, to Albert B. and Marjorie E. (DeMoss) Holler.
Arlys graduated from Protection High School and Wichita Business College. She was a homemaker. Arlys lived in Phoenix, AZ, for 35 years before moving to Hutchinson. She was a resident of Legend Senior Living for the past five years and absolutely loved living there. Arlys’ greatest joys in life were her family and her relationship with Christ. She was a member of CrossPoint Church.
On October 16, 1960, Arlys married Robert D. Hopkins. They divorced after 17 years of marriage. On Aug. 31, 1984, she married William E. ‘Bill’ Kraus. He died May 12, 2015.
Arlys is survived by her mother, Marjorie Holler, Hutchinson; children, Robin Sanders (Sam), Hutchinson, Allen Hopkins (Margaret), Hattiesburg, MS; grandchildren, Stephanie Doeden (Shawn), Ben Sanders (Amelia), Joey Sanders, (Erin), Sammy Sanders (Ceress), Robert and Nash Hopkins; 6 great-grandchildren; and many extended family members.
She was preceded in death by her father; sister, Donna James; twin brother, Arlyn Holler, and brother, Gerald Holler.
Funeral service will be 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 5, 2021, at Elliott Chapel. Burial will follow at 1:30 p.m. in McPherson City Cemetery. Friends may call from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday at Elliott Mortuary.
