KANSAS DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION
The Kansas Department of Transportation is performing a chip seal project in Kingman and Reno counties on K-11 from the junction with U.S. 54 to the junction with K-61. The project that began Wednesday, Aug. 12, is just over 16 miles.
Traffic will be guided through the construction zone by flaggers and a pilot car during daylight hours.
Conditions permitting, the project should be finished by the end of August.
Vance Brothers, based in Kansas City, Missouri, is the primary contractor for the project, which totals around $659,000.
KDOT urges motorists to stay alert, follow posted signs and refrain from hand-held mobile device use in all active work zones.
