Hutchinson firefighters still working hard at Mullen Fire

HUTCHINSON, Kan. — The crew of Hutchinson firefighters working the Mullen Fire in Wyoming and Colorado is still in good spirits as of Sunday.

According to a Facebook post from the department, they continue working with Hot Shots on burnout operations.

According to the U.S. Forest Service, the fire stretches over 147,127 Acres and is 14% contained.

Three Hutchinson firefighters traveled to Wyoming September 23 for a two week stint. Two more Hutch firefighters will relieve them mid week when their two weeks are up along with an employee of the Kansas Forest Service.
