
HUTCHINSON, Kan. — Hutchinson firefighters put out a residential fire in an empty house Monday night.
At 11:23 p.m. the Hutchinson Fire Department responded to 314 E. 3rd Ave for a house fire. Heavy fire was showing from the roof of the rear of the house when crews got there. A quick offensive attack was made by multiple crews and the fire was brought under control. Fire extended into multiple void spaces and had to be exposed and extinguished.
The house had been converted into three apartments. No one was living there. The investigation into the cause is open.
