The Dillon Lecture Series will continue its long-standing tradition of bringing distinguished voices to Hutchinson with its next guest, Kansas City Royals television broadcaster Joel Goldberg, on Tuesday, at the Hutchinson Sports Arena.
Since 1982, the Dillon Lecture Series has presented speakers who educate, inspire, and challenge audiences through the philosophy of Chinese thinker Kuan-Tzam — “learning is the key to enlightenment.” Over the years, the series has featured poets, politicians, astronauts, and national heroes, offering central Kansas residents access to diverse perspectives and life experiences.
Goldberg, an award-winning sports broadcaster, has been part of the Kansas City Royals television team since 2008. He hosts every pregame and postgame show for FOX Sports Kansas City and Bally Sports KC. With a 25-year career built on relationships with athletes, coaches, and team management, Goldberg now shares his insights on teamwork, leadership, and resilience with companies and organizations across the country.
All Dillon Lectures are held at the Hutchinson Sports Arena beginning at 10:30 a.m. and last approximately one hour. General admission tickets are $10, while students and school groups are admitted free with a school ID.
