HUTCHINSON, Kan. — The Kansas State Fair is seeking volunteers for the 2022 event.
Volunteers must be at least 16 years of age and pass a background check. They will typically work four to eight hours a day. They must present a professional appearance and a friendly manner.
The main function of volunteers is to direct fairgoers and they must be dependable and punctual. If they have a problem, such as seeing a fairgoer with a medical issue, they are to contact the Highway Patrol on site or fair staff.

The fair is from September 9 to 18.
