
KANSAS CITY, Mo. β Chiefs Chairman and CEO Clark Hunt announced Thursday that former linebacker Derrick Johnson will be the 55th individual inducted into the Chiefs Hall of Fame.
Johnson will be introduced Friday night at the Season Ticket Member Draft Fest and officially inducted during the 2026 regular season at GEHA Field at Arrowhead Stadium.
Johnson spent 13 of his 14 NFL seasons with Kansas City from 2005-17, appearing in 182 games with 169 starts, the most by a linebacker in franchise history. He remains the Chiefsβ all-time leading tackler with 1,146 tackles and is the only player in team history with more than 1,000 tackles in a Chiefs uniform.
A first-round pick in 2005 out of Texas, Johnson was a four-time Pro Bowler, two-time AP All-Pro and multi-year team captain during his Chiefs career.
Johnson also made a major impact off the field. Through his Defend the Dream Foundation, he has helped provide books, library makeovers and educational resources for children in Kansas City and Austin, Texas.
