LAWRENCE, Kan. — The Kansas Jayhawks men's basketball team will get a chance to bond before the season starts when it will play three exhibition games in Puerto Rico from August 1-8.

The Jayhawks will play in the capital city of San Juan and will play an exhibition game on August 3, 5 and 7. Anthony Walton, proprietor of Houston-based event organizer Walton Sports & Entertainment confirmed with the Lawrence Journal-World on Wednesday.

The opponents for KU have not yet been determined, but Walton said the Jayhawks will get the best Puerto Rico has to offer.

"So we're just picking and choosing which ones would be the best competition for Kansas," Walton said.

Kansas will have four incoming transfers and four freshman on the 2023-24 roster. The guys are set to report to Lawrence in July, before the team embarks on it's trip at the end of the month.
