Phyllis Joan Stucky, 87, went to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Aug. 3, 2021.
She was born Sept. 23, 1933, in rural Kingman County, the daughter of Merle and Hilah Field Young. A lifetime resident of the Pretty Prairie community, she was a farmwife, a former CNA and Laundry Supervisor at Prairie Sunset Home and also worked for Kuhn’s IGA and Collingwood Elevator.
Phyllis was a member of the First Mennonite Church and the Daughters of the American Revolution.
On Sept. 2, 1951, she married Gerald G. Stucky at Pretty Prairie; he died Feb. 10, 2012. Survivors include five daughters Juanita (Tom) Zerfas, Paula Sisler, Vickie (Ron) Jacques, Kellee (Randy) Goering, and Joni (Roger) Vogt; brother Roy Young; son-in-law Bruce (Dianna) Ellingson; 14 grandchildren; 36 great-grandchildren; and 1 great-great-grandchild. She was also preceded in death by a daughter Geryl Lynn “Geri” Ellingson; brothers Forest Ray Young and Daryl Young; grandchildren Leslie Ellingson, Ellea Vogt, Aryn Jacques and Andrew Goering; and a son-in-law Gary Sisler.
Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m., Saturday, Aug. 7, 2021 at the First Mennonite Church, Pretty Prairie. The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Friday at the Livingston Funeral Home, Kingman. Burial will be in the First Mennonite Church Cemetery.
