
HUTCHINSON, Kan. — The Hutchinson firefighters out at the Mullen fire were redeployed as of yesterday. The crew was reassigned to the Calwood Fire around Boulder, Colorado.
They went through the demobilization process Sunday at the Mullen Fire and arrived in Boulder Sunday night. They currently are in staging with 18 other units.
What we know now on the Calwood Fire: around 8,000 acres, 15 % contained.
This is the second crew that has spent time fighting wildfires in the past weeks. Their two-week stint will end the middle of this week.
