The Boys & Girls Clubs of Hutchinson announced Monday that Alliyah Gray has been named the organization’s new marketing and development coordinator, effective May 5.

Gray succeeds Elicia Lance, who has accepted a position with Sunshine Meadows Retirement Community in Buhler.

Gray is no stranger to the Boys & Girls Club movement. A Club member in her youth, she was named Kansas Youth of the Year in 2015 and served as a statewide representative for teen members. During high school and college, she worked part-time as a Vision Leader with the Club.

“I’m excited to step into my new role as marketing and resource development coordinator,” Gray said. “I studied marketing in college with big dreams of one day working for a brand that truly meant something to me—ideally in a big city, doing impactful work. Fast forward a few years and a few kids later, I’m incredibly grateful to be living that dream right here at home, with an organization whose mission I deeply believe in. It feels like everything has come full circle.”

Following college, Gray served in the U.S. Army, reaching the rank of specialist. Most recently, she has led daily programming at the Club’s teen site.

“I can’t wait to see what Alliyah does in this new role,” said Lance Patterson, chief executive officer. “I’ve known her since she was just a kid coming through our Club doors. To now see her stepping into her dream role with us is incredibly special—not just for her, but for all of us who’ve watched her grow. She brings energy, vision, and a deep understanding of our mission because she’s lived it.”

In her new role, Gray will oversee fundraising initiatives and help raise public awareness of the Club and its impact on youth in the community.

“I look forward to sharing the authentic, boots-on-the-ground story of our Club,” Gray said. “My goal is to build meaningful relationships at every level—within the community, with our staff, and most importantly, with our youth. By listening to our kids and amplifying their voices, we can discover new and better ways to serve them and make a lasting impact on their lives.”
