HUTCHINSON, Kan. — With the commitment from the Reno County ARPA Task Force to seek significant funding for childcare and the arrest of a McPherson child care provider just a few days ago, it's clear that finding safe and affordable places for kids so that parents can work continues to be a challenge.
A small town in McPherson County is hoping to start a conversation in that regard after the holiday.
The Canton Public Library will be hosting Logan Stenseng with The Zero to Thrive Kansas Childcare and Early Development Coalition on Saturday July 9 at 2 p.m. Stenseng, who works with Thrive Allen County, will speak about important ways to strengthen early childhood growth.
Stenseng wants to hear from local residents about their child care experiences so that policy can change and Zero to Thrive wants to provide resources and training to build advocacy skills for child care providers and parents.
If you have questions about the event, email Stenseng at [email protected].
