Earl Dean Frye |1959-2021|

Earl Dean Frye, 62, of Moundridge, died December 17, 2021, at his home.  He was born February 9, 1959, in Hutchinson, to William Thomas “Bill” and Patricia (Mowery) Frye.

Earl graduated Nickerson High School in 1977, and from Wichita Automotive and Electronics Institute.  He worked as a machinist for 42 years.  During his career, Earl worked at Eaton Corporation, Langham Creek Machine Works, Houston, TX, before retiring from The Bradbury Company in February 2021.  He enjoyed Hot Rods, Streetcars, racing, and was a member of the Kansas Central Model Railroaders.  Earl had staunch beliefs; you always knew where he stood on his beliefs.

On May 24, 1985, he married Cynthia D. Putz, in Houston, TX.  She died March 1, 2016, after they shared 31 years of marriage.

Earl is survived by:  daughter, Trisha Sims (Kris) of Hutchinson; brothers, John Frye (Vera) of Lyons, and Chris Frye of Nickerson; grandchildren, Madison Sims and Kolton Sims; aunt, Ora Henry of Hutchinson; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Memorial service will be 10:30 a.m. Thursday, December 30, 2021, at Elliott Chapel, with Pastor Bob Phipps officiating. Friends may sign his book from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday at Elliott Mortuary. The family will greet friends from 9:30 a.m. until service time Thursday at Elliott Mortuary.
