The Hutchinson Fire Department, Hutchinson Police Department, and Reno County EMS are teaming up for a night of family-friendly fun during this year’s National Night Out.
The event will take place Tuesday, Aug. 5, from 6 to 8 p.m. in the alley behind Salt City Brewing Company, between 5th and 6th Streets in downtown Hutchinson.
Community members are invited to enjoy an evening of engaging activities designed to build relationships between first responders and the public. Highlights include water games, a dunk tank, a water balloon fight, and opportunities to explore fire trucks, police vehicles, and EMS equipment. Attendees will also have a chance to meet and visit with local emergency crews.
The annual National Night Out initiative promotes police-community partnerships and neighborhood camaraderie, aiming to make communities safer, more caring places to live.
Organizers encourage families to come out, cool off, and connect with their local first responders in a relaxed and festive setting.
